Puppy Preschool

Proper socialisation, combined with positive reinforcement-based training in a group puppy class helps puppies grow into well-adjusted pets. Studies have shown that when owners attend training classes, they are much more likely to keep their pets. Puppy preschool can help owners develop a stronger bond with their pets, establish realistic expectations of their pets’ behaviour, and learn proper techniques to continue training. And it’s fun!

So, what does it involve?

Over the course of four weeks, your puppy will learn basic commands (think sit, down, stay and come!), how to walk nicely on their lead, as well as getting used to being handled. At the end of each class there will be time for your puppy to play and interact with the other puppies and owners, which of course provides invaluable socialisation that will set them up for life!

The puppies won’t be the only ones doing all the learning – We will also cover off important topics like de-sexing, toilet training, nutrition, vaccinations and health care, and positive reinforcement with you, the owner.

Puppies need to be between 8 and 16 weeks to attend this course, and must have had at least their first round of vaccinations. They should also be up to date with their worming treatment.
